The display of Brandin Podziemski has received applause from the followers of the NBA. Alongside the remarkable performances, his boldness left his Golden State Warriors teammate Kevon Looney in awe. The veteran candidly shed light on the persona of the rookie while highlighting the influence of the birthplace effect on his development.

During a discussion with The Athleticthe Warriors center provided a glimpse into the competitive mindset of the 20-year-old. Reflecting on the earlier scrimmages during the mini-camps, the 28-year-old highlighted the ultra-ambitious nature of the point guard. Following that, Looney shared his views on the 6ft 4″ youngster’s declaration to average triple-doubles, stating, “That’s pretty bold”.

Yet, the desire of the 2023 draft pick failed to surprise the 3x champion as he revealed the underlying reason behind it. “I know most Wisconsin guards have that crazy confidence to them. [Jordan] Poole. Tyler Herro. He has got a delusion to him that makes him good,” the 6ft 9″ star proclaimed.

The interaction captured the Warriors center’s faith in the rising talent while simultaneously respecting his gameplay. Being from Wisconsin, Looney has come across several such backcourt facilitators throughout his journey. That’s why, the fearless approach could not shock the 2015 draft pick. Rather the latter only further validated it by drawing its parallels with his contemporaries.

During the pre-season, the newcomer defeated two NBA icons in the form of Stephen Curry and Chris Paul in a King of the Court contest. The Warriors rookie took things up by a notch as he taunted the veterans throughout the process. In fact, soon after securing the triumph, “He did the Tiger (Woods) fist-pump,” as per CP3 to assert dominance.

Alongside the guards, Podz has built a unique rapport with the team’s forward, Draymond Green. His repeated mocking threats towards the 4x champion had already been subjected to warnings. Yet, the courageous displays sustained as the Wisconsin-born made fun of the 33-year-old by sharing the latter’s old photos. “I still gotta popcorn his car,” the 6ft 6″ star eventually declared to respond to the callouts.

Amidst the expressive nature, the meticulous and methodical approach of the youngster has received praise from his seniors. It has already resulted in six double-doubles this season, the most by a Warriors player this season. Because of this, the 20-year-old has maintained his position in the top 5 of the rookie rankings as the franchise remains hopeful of his progress in the coming seasons.

Stephen Curry continues to play a significant part in an unexpected crossover between Hollywood and the NBA. 2 weeks ago, the 4x champion gifted Lindsay Lohan his 60-point jersey while making the worldwide headlines. Following that, the 10x All-Star has expanded on the connection while showcasing excitement for his wife Ayesha Curry’s role in the Lohan-starred movie.

Mrs. Curry has recently shared the trailer for her upcoming film, ‘Irish Wish’ from her Instagram. With the caption, Irish Wish comes to Netflix March 15,” the 34-year-old announced the details of the new project publicly. It evidently put an end to the long hiatus from her acting career as her followers took notice of the declaration.

Alike her admirers, her husband became a prominent voice in the comment section. The Golden State Warriors talisman publicly backed his partner. “Ayyyye I know one of the bridesmaids in the movie!!!” the 35-year-old mentioned to display support to his wife.

Alongside supporting his love interest, Curry’s actions further strengthened his bond with the movie’s lead actress Lohan. The Splash Brother’s close relationship with the 37-year-old recently came to the forefront after the artist paid a visit to a Warriors game. During the home clash against the Atlanta Hawks, she and her husband Bader Shammas embraced the front-row seats. The 2x MVP respected their presence as he greeted the couple ahead of the game.

Soon after the conclusion of the match, the 2022 Finals MVP expanded on the gesture while showcasing his commendable off-court persona. Despite a heartbreaking home defeat, the Akron-born presented the visitors with his game-worn 60-point jersey. This further showcased the closeness between them as the couple seemingly cherished the gift.

The intersection between entertainment and sports has excited the followers to a large extent. At the same time, it has aided in transcending the influence of the 6ft 2″ point guard beyond the basketball court. Hence, the unique dynamics between the families have remained a particular area of interest since then.

Seven months back, the Hollywood couple welcomed their first child after Lohan gave birth to her son Luai Shammas. In yet another unexpected fashion, they proposed to the NBA couple to become their kid’s godparents. The Curry household agreed to the occasion as it marked a significant juncture between the two households.

Therefore, Curry’s gift held far greater importance as the NBA icon shared a message through his gesture. The backcourt maestro wrote on the jersey, “To Luai, your godparents love you!”. The heartwarming present later became public knowledge as Lohan shared the note through her Instagram story.

This further puts into perspective how the families have linked themselves together for the rest of their lives. Moments such as this add a heartening aspect to the otherwise competitive sport. With Curry remaining the center of it this time around, the actions set a benchmark for the rest of the league.

Brandin Podziemski has emerged as one of the best players from the 2023 draft class. While fans have discovered Podziemski’s talents over the past few months, the players of the Golden State Warriors learned about the rookie’s potential even before the campaign tipped off. By defeating Stephen Curry and Chris Paul, Podz established his presence in the team.

In The Athletic’s recent feature on Brandin Podziemski, Anthony Slater narrated several stories from the youngster’s rookie campaign. As detailed by Slater, the 6ft 5” guard proved his worth during the preseason camp by defeating two of the greatest point guards of all time – Stephen Curry and Chris Paul – ever in a “King of the Court” style one-on-one contest.

Slater detailed how Podziemski was also chirping at the two future Hall-Of-Famers. While CP3 remembered the Tiger Woods-style fist-pump that the 20-year-old did, Steph recollected how the latter was not afraid to taunt the veterans. Anthony Slater wrote:

The rookie was giving it to two of the greatest to ever do it at the point guard position and alerting anyone within earshot of the damage.

“He did the Tiger (Woods) fist-pump,” Paul said, shaking his head.

“‘Let’s f—g go!’” Curry remembers him taunting. “That was hilarious.”

Despite being the youngest player on the Golden State Warriors roster, the Southpaw plays with a tremendous amount of courage, putting his body on the line on every single play. Having a fearless mentality and not being afraid to call out his teammates is something that the Warriors have appreciated and benefitted from massively this season. ‘Podz’ is now a key member of the Warriors’ rotation, and is even started by head coach Steve Kerr on occasion. And it’s hard not to give credit to his unyielding confidence for the same.

Brandin Podziemski called out Draymond Green for a turnover

Draymond Green is the leader of the Golden State Warriors, who often gives his piece of mind to players when he feels fit. However, Green was on the receiving end when Brandin Podziemski was frustrated with the defensive specialist’s costly turnover.

During a scrimmage, Podz’s side lost a game due to Dray’s mistake. Despite being a rookie, the combo guard decided to speak up and call the four-time champ out.

“We can’t have a turnover for game!” Podziemski told Green. “You cannot turn the ball over for game.”

Since taking on the leadership role for the Bay Area side, Green hasn’t had any player, let alone a rookie, address him that way. However, the four-time All-Star wasn’t hurt. Instead, he appreciated Brandin and asked him to speak up “all the time”.

“I was like, ‘OK, cool, you got it. No problem,’” Green said. “Here we are playing a pick-up game, a game to get me ready and he’s yelling at me. That to me said a whole lot. I was like, ‘You know what? No problem. But make sure you speak up like that all the time.’”

Brandin Podziemski has proven to be a crucial player for Steve Kerr. After taking a few months to find his rhythm, averaging 6 points, 2.1 assists, and 5.9 rebounds in October and November, Kerr increased the youngster’s minutes from December onwards.

He’s even started 14 games this season and has been an asset on both ends of the floor. For the season, he’s averaging a staggering 9.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game. Even after Chris Paul makes his return to the lineup from injury, Podz gives the Warriors the luxury of having three playmaking guards on the roster.

Brandin Podziemski will play a crucial role in the remainder of the season as the Warriors make a playoff push.

The debate on how players from older eras would fare in the modern era and how the NBA stars of today would do in the 80s and the 90s often dominate barbershop discussions and even ESPN studios. This topic has polarized fans of the game across generations due to their different sensitivities, leading to a whole new “old school vs new school” phenomenon. Just a few days before the All-Star break, veteran Sportswriter Roland Lazenby sat down for an exclusive interview with The SportsRush’s Adit Pujari to provide his perspective on a lot of different basketball-related topics, included the ‘then vs now’ debate that has divided fans.

Lazenby is an eminent Sportswriter and has penned over 60 nonfiction books in his career, all revolving around basketball and American football. As a hoops writer, he has covered the decorated careers of both Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant in his brilliant books. The 72-year-old’s 1996 work Bull Run! The Story of the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls earned him the Sports Book of the Year Award in 1997. His 2014 book Michael Jordan: The Life also earned the Sports Book of the Year Award in 2015 and is often regarded as his most notable work.

During the interview, Adit brought up Luka Doncic’s past comments on how it is easier to score in the NBA compared to that in Europe had prompted some backlash from fans. He asked Lazenby if Doncic’s impact would have been similar in the bygone eras when defensive assignments were taken more seriously. In response, Lazenby said that Lakers legend Jerry West once told him that “truly great players” from across eras always “find a way” to play “under any rules”. According to West, the top-class talent from any period can adjust and thrive no matter the physicality of contemporary players.

You can look at Luka [Doncic], LeBron [James], Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Michael [Jordan], Larry [Bird], Magic [Johnson], you can go on down the list, probably Dennis Rodman. All these different figures who found their own way to greatness in that 94-foot space. They would find it just as LeBron does today,” said Lazenby.

Then the veteran basketball author touched upon the subject of old-school hoops fans disregarding modern players. Lazenby admitted that the physicality in the league has been watered down and part of what makes Michael Jordan great was the relentless contact in the game of his time, especially when he went up against the ‘Bad Boy’ Pistons. He credited the blows dealt by the team as a way for MJ to figure out how to be even greater than he already was.

However, despite the disparity in physicality between the two eras, Lazenby remarked that Stephen Curry would still find a way to dazzle physically stronger defenders. To shed more light on this perspective, he alluded to Phil Jackson’s stance on Curry, which was that the guard would be like LSU and Denver Nuggets’ mid-range maestro Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf (known as Chris Jackson earlier). Abdul-Rauf never hit the 20 points per game mark during the season and was a borderline All-Star player. Therefore, Jackson believed that Curry would be at best like him.

However, Lazenby disagrees with the former Chicago Bulls head coach and thinks that the ball-handling wizard would have been as great during the physically demanding eras as he is today. In fact, for the renowned author, Curry’s impact would have been way greater back in the day.

I think Steph Curry would have still found a way to change the game. He is revolutionary as a shooter. He changed the parameters of the court. In a lot of ways doing what he has done would have been even more powerful considering the old rules. Now it would have been tougher on him with the hand-checking, probably so. They would have come out and defended him on the perimeter and gotten into him. But you know, he is a brilliant ball-handler, and they can set screens anywhere on the floor,” Lazenby told The SportsRush.

For Lazenby, if the NBA goes back to the old rules and allows more contact, it’d be intriguing to watch a shooter like Curry work. His enthusiasm when talking about Curry displayed his respect for the old-school greats and new-school greats alike. His perspective helps balance the polarization that has engulfed the NBA world for a long time. The author believes that no matter how the game is played, top-flight players figure out a way to prominence.

Stephen A. Smith was thoroughly displeased with the 2024 All-Star Weekend, to the extent that he felt most of the events should be scrapped altogether. On the flip side, he gave Damian Lillard his due for winning back-to-back three-point titles. But for him, the headliner was the three-point showdown between Stephen Curry and Sabrina Ioesncu which made the weekend worthwhile.

The ESPN analyst liked how the sharpshooters approached the contest and gave them their props. He also expressed his adulation for the shootout between Curry and Ionescu on his ‘The Stephen Smith Show’, claiming that it was the highlight of the weekend,

The highlight of the entire weekend was Sabrina Ionescu vs Stephen Curry. Now Steph Curry might be considered the greatest shooter in basketball history, but Sabrina certainly made him prove that Saturday night as part of the NBA All-Star Weekend.

Then, the analyst pointed out how Ionescu made seven straight shots to begin the proceedings. He remarked that her score of 26 was similar to the top score of the NBA Three-Point Shooting Contest, achieved by Lillard. Calling Stephen Curry ‘the greatest shooter God has ever created’, he observed the earnestness of the Warriors’ guard’s approach and recognized that he was going up against a top-notch player. He applauded Ionescu for showing up against the greatest shooter ever and holding her own.

In the light of this enthralling showdown, he desired that the trend of a WNBA vs NBA three-point contest should continue. While he had huge praise for the two incredible shooters, the analyst wasn’t kind to one of the greatest of all time.

Stephen A. Smith blames LBJ for Slam Dunk’s decreasing popularity

In the aftermath of the 2024 All-Star Dunk Contest, Smith was disgusted with the product. He blamed LeBron James for lowering the contest’s standards since he has never participated in one. On ‘First Take’, he opined, “LeBron James is directly responsible for ruining the slam dunk contest.”

Mandatory Credit: Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

For Stephen A. Smith, top-ranked above-the-rim players refused to participate in the event because James sent a disheartening precedent. Therefore, now the league has to resort to consecutive champion Mac Mclung, who plays in the G-League.

Because of the lack of popular NBA stars, the analyst urged that things need to change. Apart from that, like many, he also felt underwhelmed by the All-Star Game. He expectedly called out the lack of defense. The analyst stated, “What transpired last night was an absolute travesty. Nearly 400 points on defense, no effort whatsoever.”

Apart from the All-Star Game and Slam Dunk Contest, the First Take host thought that the All-Star Skills challenge was of no use either. Stephen A. Smith isn’t the only one to feel betrayed by the All-Star Weekend. Even modern-day basketball advocate JJ Redick felt that the All-Star Game was not a fun watch.

Apart from that, Paul Pierce advocated for scrapping the All-Star Slam Dunk Contest, comparing it to an ex-girlfriend whom one should let go instead of trying to get back with her. It will be interesting to see what measures Commissioner Adam Silver takes to allay the endless stream of criticism.

Stephen Curry is often seen wearing ankle braces during games, which is something unusual for an NBA player. Notably, these braces are not just on his legs without a reason. Stephen Curry‘s early seasons in the NBA were marred with injuries. The Golden State Warriors guard struggled with ankle issues, constantly spraining it and missing games. He missed the team’s first two games in his rookie season due to a sprained left ankle and eight more the following season with right ankle injuries.

The ankle issues have followed Curry throughout his career, and he’s had multiple surgeries to fix them. To help with his ankle injuries, the Warriors superstar uses a Zamst A2-DX ankle brace. It helps with high ankle sprains and chronic ankle instability and is the go-to brace for Curry and Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae Young, who’s the company brand ambassador.

Curry isn’t the only NBA player cursed with ankle injuries. Per the National Library of Medicine, ankle injuries are the most common ailment among NBA players. The heavy stress on the ankle due to the constant pivoting and jumping on the court weakens it, causing sprains and muscle tears. Per the NLM’s study, an ankle sprain or strain is the most common injury among basketball players at all levels.

Guards like Curry and Young rely heavily on their explosiveness and ability to change direction on a whim, making them more prone to ankle injuries. Unsurprisingly, they both play with the best ankle guard money can buy.

Stephen Curry’s injury history

Stephen Curry has been bothered by ankle injuries since his rookie year. He missed the first two games of the Warriors’ 2009-10 with a left ankle sprain before featuring in the remaining 80. In his sophomore year, he sprained his right ankle during a preseason game, reaggravated it in the second game of the regular season, and missed the next two games.  In December, another right ankle injury left him sidelined for six games, and he underwent surgery to fix the issue in the 2011 offseason.

The surgery did not help, and in his third season, Curry missed 56 games with right ankle and tendon issues. He underwent surgery in April 2012 and was sidelined until September 2012. Over the next five years, he continued to deal with ankle sprains but missed only 16 regular season games as he and the Warriors ascended to the top of the NBA. In those five seasons, Curry won two MVP awards, and the team won two titles.

Curry’s ankle issues returned in 2017, and in the subsequent seven years, he has been sidelined for lengthy spells multiple times due to them. He has soldiered through them throughout his career and will continue until he retires.

Stephen Curry is undeniably one of the greatest Point Guards of the NBA. Hence, it’s only natural that every mundane clip involving him garners attention. His latest clip from the NBA All-Star game however is different. In a video that has now gone viral across social media, Stephen Curry is seen giving one-on-one shooting lessons to Russel Wilson’s 9-year-old stepson Future Zahir.

A couple of days ago saw the All-Star Weekend in NBA conclude. Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry was one of the star attractions as he was lined up to face WNBA’s Sabrina Ionescu in the NBA All-Star 3-PT contest. After winning the contest, Curry came across Russell Wilson’s stepson Zahir Wilburn. Stephen bonded with the 9-year-old and was spotted teaching him a thing or two about shooting. In the moment captured by the social media of ESPN, Curry was seen teaching young future about the correct finger roll technique and the shooting posture.

Netizens clearly lapped it up positively. Stephen Curry has always been a positive figure and this gesture by the GOAT made him more adorable.

The other half of the internet meanwhile positively envied the 9-year-old.

All said and done, Russell Wilson must be a happy man with Curry’s gesture. While things on the field haven’t clicked for the Broncos QB, Wilson has been a thorough family man. Despite Future Jr being his stepson, Wilson has always treated him like his son and maintained a very intimate bond.

Russell Wilson Shares a Close Bond With Stepson Zahir Wilburn

Russell Wilson has three kids with wife Ciara. 9 year old Zahir meanwhile is Ciara’s son with rapper Future. Zahir was a toddler when Ciara met Wilson. However since then, the Broncos QB has taken care of Zahir like his own son. The QB in 2019, per NickiSwift, admitted that it’s been a really insightful journey on love for him as he raised his step son along with his daughters. The former Seattle player revealed that raising Zahir unconditionally taught him what love is.

“The thing that I’ve learned the most is that being a stepdad and then also having our little daughter as well, being a stepdad, you really find out what love’s like. It’s easy to love somebody that’s blood and everything else, but when you can love somebody just like it’s your own child and everything else, that’s what real love is like,” Wilson had said.

Moreover, Russell Wilson has always kept Zahir in a sporting environment. The 9 year old is regularly seen playing football and doing tackling drills on Wilson’s Instagram. With Zahir’s two father figures being pioneers in rapping and football, safe to say, Zahir can turn out to be a future superstar in the coming years.

The NBA on TNT had an Alternate Cast consisting of Charles Barkley, Candace Parker, and Draymond Green to commentate on the All-Star Game. After only the first few minutes of the commencement of the exhibition game, Barkley decided to deep-dive into the rumored Los Angeles Lakers-Golden State Warriors trade talks. As surprising as it sounds, Chuck believed that the LA side would jump all over a LeBron James-Jonathan Kuminga trade.

According to recent reports, the Golden State Warriors approached the Los Angeles Lakers with an unsuccessful bid to acquire LeBron James. According to Charles Barkley, the Bay Area side might not have added Jonathan Kuminga to the deal. Barkley told Draymond Green, leader of the GSW, that Rob Pelinka would accept any offer with Kuminga. Even if it meant parting ways with LBJ.

“If the Warriors are stupid enough to give up Kuminga for LeBron, let me tell you something, the Lakers will take that trade tomorrow. If the Lakers can get Klay and Kuminga, they do that deal tomorrow,” Barkley said.

Immediately after, Draymond Green simply stated that he had said no to any deal that involved JK getting traded.

Green said, “If it’s Kuminga then the answer’s no.”

Jonathan Kuminga is one of the most talented youngsters in the league. With Klay Thompson’s dip in production, the forward has emerged as the team’s 2nd scoring option and has been thriving in his new role. Undoubtedly, JK will further improve and perform at the All-NBA level that he was projected to be. However, the Warriors would much rather have LeBron James on their roster.

The trio of Curry, Green, and Thompson are entering their late 30s. The organization would much rather capitalize on their dominance while they are still in the prime of their prowess. With LeBron James added to the squad, the Warriors’ chances will significantly increase as compared to Kuminga playing the small forward position for Steve Kerr.

During the All-Star Weekend, Stephen Curry and LeBron James were asked for their opinions about the trade rumors. Curry stated how he wasn’t surprised to learn that his franchise was attempting to make a push for his long-time rival. However, he did reveal being surprised in regards to the news of the same being leaked.

“A guy like Bron, you would probably call just to see… It’s always a surprise when stuff like that gets out because I’m assuming that every team is making calls that if every fanbase or media group would know about it,” Curry said.

LeBron James crushed all remaining hopes of the Dub Nation. Apart from stating that he heard about the news “when everyone else did”, the 6ft 9” forward also claimed that the deal was not even “real” enough to be brought to him.

“It didn’t go far at all, I heard about it when everyone else did,” LeBron said. “Sometimes there conversations behind closed doors that you don’t even know about. If it’s real or not, then they’ll bring it to you. But it never even got to me.”

Both teams – the Warriors and the Lakers – are struggling this season. While the LA side is 9th in the standings, the San Francisco side is right behind them in 10th. While it doesn’t seem as though the star players are being traded, the front offices of both teams need to figure out a way to add more firepower to the roster to help win the championship.

The most anticipated event of the All-Star weekend, the exclusive Three-Point shootout between WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu and Golden State Warriors veteran Stephen Curry, took place last night. The contest resulted in Curry winning the competition by a narrow margin. However, the viewers were disappointed with the commentary during the event, especially the remarks made by 2x NBA champion and TNT personality Kenny Smith.

Curry defeated Ionescu on a 26-29 margin, which clearly shows how the WNBA star is not far behind in prowess from one of the best shooters in the NBA. However, during his commentary spell, Smith made certain remarks about Ionescu, suggesting that the New York Liberty star should have shot from the WNBA three-point line.

Smith remarked, “I think she should have shot from the women’s line. That would have been a fair contest.” This comment was made despite Ionescu losing only by three shots to Curry and equaling the likes of Damian Lillard, Trae Young, and Karl-Anthony Towns‘ 26-point showing in last night’s Three-Point contest.

Fans have been lambasting the Houston Rockets legend on social media for his remark. A user on X blamed him for ‘tainting a really special moment in basketball history.’

Sara Jane Gamelli, a staff writer for ‘Ball is Life’, also pointed out how Smith’s comments were in utter distaste, without any knowledge of Sabrina Ionescu’s daily workout regimen and practice sets to achieve such a mark. Gamelli wrote on X, Yeah clearly he’s never seen her warm up, practice or shoot at all. She pulls no where near the W line. Poor comments, and the golf comments at the end really got me!”

Some other fans also expressed their disappointment with Kenny Smith, who made such remarks on a public platform, despite all the efforts taken by the league to make women’s and men’s basketball equal in all regards. Though Reggie Miller tried mitigating the damage, some fans believe Smith had already ‘messed up’ and acted like Ionescu ‘went out there and got annihilated.’

Nevertheless, fans enjoyed the showing between Curry and Ionescu, many even believing that the WNBA is slowly catching up to the same levels as the men’s league. With the level of interest and fan-following WNBA stars are gathering, the day is not far when they will be competing at a similar level.

Joel Embiid reacted to Kenny Smith’s comments

Kenny Smith’s distasteful comments on Sabrina Ionescu’s three-point showing have also earned a reaction from the 2023 NBA MVP Joel Embiid. The Philadelphia 76ers center took to X and wrote on his page, “Kenny Smith been drinking lmao.”

Embiid has always been vocal on his social media platforms and has never shied away from trolling NBA personalities with his tweets or comments. This was, perhaps, one of such moments where the Cameroonian superstar could not hold back.

Aside from Joel Embiid, Indiana Pacers legend Reggie Miller, who was commentating beside Kenny Smith, also seemed embarrassed by his fellow panelist’s remarks. Though Miller tried minimizing the damage, it did not help Kenny Smith from holding his comments back.

In a fit of anger, Miller sarcastically asked Smith, “According to you, you want her [Sabrina Ionescu] to play with dolls, right?” Though Smith tried justifying his remarks quite vehemently, all of that was in vain, as his comments would go down as one of the vilest remarks.

The All-Star Weekend is upon us and fans are getting a treat in terms of entertainment. Numerous big names from around the league compete against one another while young rookies also get recognition. One player that made things extra interesting for fans was Atlanta Hawks star point guard Trae Young, betting viewers $100 to emulate Stephen Curry’s insane tunnel shot.

Recently, Stephen Curry was able to nail a full-court heave from the tunnel, swishing the ball in on the other end of the floor. And Trae Young was challenged by fans if he could emulate that and win $100.

Instead of going in the tunnel and attempting a full-court heave, Young steps back the seats on the baseline, and shoots from beyond the ‘Zero’ while other players get their shots up. Fans surrounded Young with cameras to witness something amazing.

Fans kept yelling about the amount of money they had put up to entice Trae to attempt that shot. Young got the ball and was easily able to knock down the corner shot while being out of bounds, behind a rack of chairs.

After nailing the shot, the fans went crazy as they shouted at the top of their lungs, witnessing Young make that shot with such ease. The Atlanta Hawks guard did one of his on-court celebrations, grabbed the $100, and walked away.

Trae Young has been one of the best shooters in the league lately. He chugs up shots from the logo and can drain them with absolute ease. He had even once admitted that he’d be able to surpass Stephen Curry as the best shooter in a year.

Whether Young can surpass Curry or not, his shooting does back up his claim. Trae Young certainly is among some of the best shooters the league has to offer. He is not just one of the best but one of the highest-volume shooters in the league as well.

Young tends to have 6.5 attempts from beyond the arc per game. He shoots those shots from 25 to 29 feet away from the rim. And despite shooting further away from the three-point line, Young has been able to drain 38.2% of those shots, shooting a decent clip from way long range.

Trae Young tries to emulate Stephen Curry

Young may just be getting around those tunnel shots that have fans buzzing in the arena and on social media. But Stephen Curry has been making those kinds of circus shots for years before it took off among fans.

This was Stephen Curry’s full-court shot from the tunnel during one of the Golden State Warriors’ practices. And even fans were taken aback over how Curry was able to drain that with such ease.

Stephen Curry has been draining such shots for years now. There are videos of him competing with former Golden State Warriors stars in circus shots before he took off in the league and revolutionized the game with his shooting.

Even Sabrina Ionescu was asked if she could emulate Stephen Curry’s tunnel shot while she made an appearance on SiriusXM Radio a few days ago. While Sabrina assured that she could not pull that off, let’s see if Young tries to emulate Curry’s tunnel shot to the exact wire.
