Whether it’s a movie, TV Series, or video game, Star Wars is undoubtedly one of the most renowned franchises in the world. Fans can never get tired of new Star Wars content, and many are hoping for a live-action adaptation of the Jedi game series. Recently, Cameron Monaghan has shared his thoughts about a potential live-action adaptation.

The American actor is well known for portraying the young Jedi Knight Cal Kestis. His character was one of the highlights of the game and fans praised the actor for his performance. So, it isn’t surprising that they hope he reprises his role again, especially in a possible live-action adaptation.

The Direct recently questioned the actor if he’s interested in playing his in-game character in a live-action adaptation. The actor responded positively, but he didn’t want his character to be an easter egg to please the audience.

“I don’t want him to just kind of show up to stand around and be there. I want him to mean something and for there to be a significance for the character itself.”

It wasn’t surprising for Monaghan to ask his character to have a significant role in the adaptation. There have been many cases where popular characters from a game do make it to the adaptation but they are only there for a few seconds. A great example would be Arno Dorian’s appearance in the 2016 Assassin’s Creed movie, where he appeared for a single scene and was never spotted again.

Would Star Wars Jedi Get a Live-Action Adaptation?

Fans are eager to get a live-action adaptation of Star Wars Jedi games, especially after the success of HBO’s The Last of Us. The Mandalorian creators Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni even talked to Entertainment Weekly about the possibility of various cross-multimedia adaptations in the Star Wars universe.

“I think one of the things I’m most proud of about what we’re able to accomplish with this show is to pull in different sets of characters and storylines, and each generation and each group connects with a different aspect of Star Wars.”

Even if the Jedi games don’t get a proper live-action adaptation, seeing the in-game characters making their way to various Star Wars movies and TV series won’t be surprising. As a matter of fact, the BD units that were introduced in the Jedi games also appeared in The Book of Boba Fett.

So, there are chances to see the Jedi game characters appear in future Star Wars movies and shows. Hence, it would be interesting to see Cal Kestis interact with characters like Din Djarin and Cassian Andor.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake is again in the news after new information about its remake popped up online. Some reports suggest the plans to resurrect this classic are no longer on the table. Yet, developers from Two Saber Interactive insisted that the project is still alive.

KOTOR It is a single-player RPG by BioWare that was released in 2003. In 2021, a remake was announced for this Star Wars classic by Aspyr. But after the latter’s acquisition by Saber Interactive, the remake project was taken over by the new owners.

The developers planned Knights of the Old Republic remake to be released as a limited-time PlayStation 5 exclusive, upsetting many fans. However, being a limited-time exclusive it would eventually see a release on other platforms. Yet, recent leaks suggested the entire project was canceled.

Lars Wingefors, the CEO of Saber’s parent company, Embracer, refused to talk about anything related to this highly-anticipated remake. Also, Sony removing videos and trailers of the remake further fueled this speculation. Yet, Bloomberg‘s Jason Schreier revealed the game is still under development.

Schreier claimed to come across two Saber developers on ResetEra. They revealed that the American game developers are still working on the Star Wars RPG remake despite the recent rumors against it.

How the Knights of the Old Republic remake would boost PlayStation sales?

Remakes are like a formula for guaranteed success in the gaming industry. Hence, many companies now focus on remaking an old classic. The 2023-released Resident Evil 4 remake is a great example. It was a critically acclaimed title that even got nominated for Game of the Year at The Game Awards.

A good remake brings in excellent sales besides the critical acclaim. Moreover, the platform on which the game is released also profits from a well-made remake title. As a matter of fact, if Saber still plans to recreate the Knights of the Old Republic, it would definitely profit PlayStation.

After all, this new version is supposed to be released as a limited-time exclusive on the Sony platform. If it does happen, then the sales of PlayStation 5 might end up getting boosted alongside it. Many fans who don’t have this console would also get it to play this upcoming remake.

For now, let’s wait for an official announcement about the Knights of the Old Republic, as there is a lot of confusion about its development. Nevertheless, it would be interesting to play this 2003 classic once again with new-gen specifications.

After a rocky launch on PC, Star Wars Jedi Survivor received its first performance patch. The 3.25 GB update improves performance in non-raytraced rendering, with the patch notes not revealing much else. However, the console ports of the game received a bunch of fixes ranging from crashes to collision issues. This is the first of “weeks” of fixes in the pipeline for the title. Here’s the full list of all changes in the patch.

PC performance improved in latest Star Wars Jedi Survivor patch

PC patch for May 1st

  • Performance improvements for non-raytraced rendering.

PS5 and Xbox Series X/S patch for May 2nd

  • Multiple crashes have been fixed across PlayStation and Xbox Series X|S and various areas of the game.
  • Fixes crashes that were tied to skipping cinematics.
  • Performance improvements across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
  • Fixed an issue with dynamic cloth inside the Mantis.
  • Fixed various rendering issues.
  • Fixes an issue with registered Nekko colors not saving.
  • Fixes an issue with registered Nekko disappearing from the stable.
  • Fixed issues with cinematic dialogue overlapping.
  • Fixes various collision issues.
  • Fixed an issue with enemy AI remaining in T Pose during photo mode.
  • Fixes a freeze that occasionally occurred while talking to Doma.
  • Fixed a bug where the BD-oil VFX did not properly render.
  • Fixed an issue where players were getting stuck inside the Chamber of Duality if you didn’t save after leaving the chamber and die.

Respawn has mentioned that all the fixes for the console version have already been included in the PC port. Despite performance for the PC port being borderline unplayable, community members are working to remedy the issues ahead of patches. The latest fix is a DLSS 3 mod that helps double framerates on RTX 40 series GPUs. However, those on older hardware will have to wait for future patches for better performance.

New to Star Wars Jedi Survivor are Jedi Chambers. These areas provide a unique challenge either in movement, puzzle solving, combat, or all three. Completing them rewards players in different ways. Most of these can be accessed via Rumors, or simply by stumbling upon them in the open world. The Chamber of Connection is one of the seven Jedi Chambers, and players can come across it in Koboh. Here’s how to solve it.

How to solve the Chamber of Connection in Jedi Survivor

To get to the Chamber of Connection, players must first head to the Viscid Bog of Koboh. The rumor for this location is “Explore the High Republic Chamber in the Swamp.”

  • Make your way to the Gorge Crash Site
  • Take the elevator to the bottom
  • Grapple to the first zipline near the fast travel point
  • Jump off mid-way and drop to the other zipline heading for the Chamber of Connection

Once here, players can head inside and start solving the puzzle.

  • Stand on the block at the back of the room
  • Grab the Orb that pops out and place it in the device
  • From the laser, make a trail using BD-1’s Koboh Grinder to trace a path to the vines along the left wall
  • Follow the path until you get to the higher platform
  • Once again use BD-1’s Koboh Grinder to create a path across to the vines. This time, step on both buttons to create a path using the shutters
  • Take the Orb and place it over the ledge. From here, push it into the second slot to create a bridge
  • For the last set of vines, create a long path with BD-1’s Koboh Grinder from the laser to the vines. Players should create a long enough trail to allow them enough time to pick up the Orb and place it at the bridge.

From here, players will be able to move forward and get the Resilience Perk.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor is out now, and despite a poor PC port, players are having a blast with Kal Cestis’ journey. From the vast open environments in the game, the desert world of Jedha holds a lot of secrets and hidden gems. On the way to Pilgrim’s Sanctuary, players will come across the Crypt of Uhrma puzzle. First, players will have to enter a dark cave they come across while heading to the top. After dealing with the enemies, players will be at the Crypt of Uhrma. Here’s how to solve it.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor Crypt of Uhrma solution

The solution for this particular puzzle isn’t in the cave with the movable blocks. First, head to the side of the cliff and look at the rock formation. Over here, a few pillars stand out while the others are broken. This is the pattern that players must replicate on the blocks. Here’s the specific order:

  • On the top row make sure the outermost blocks on each side are illuminated
  • On the bottom row make sure the middle two blocks are illuminated

The rewards for the puzzle are as follows:

  • Health stim
  • Force Echo

After grabbing these, players will head to a new area where Skoova can be found fishing. This will also give players a new fish for their collection. However, down the road lies a much more daunting task. The Sutaban Alpha legendary enemy will face players at the end, but players should make sure they have Merrin’s Charm beforehand. This will help players deal with the green barriers without an issue.

PC port reports come in negative

At launch, the game is getting battered for poor performance on PC. Rigs with 4090s and CPUs well above the recommended spec are facing low frame rates in the 30s alongside 20+GB VRAM usage. EA has iterated that fixes are in the works and will be deployed in the coming weeks. The console versions of the game are relatively more stable and feature multiple performance modes for players to choose from.

Just a day before launch, reviews for Star Wars Jedi Survivor are pouring in. While impressions of the game are generally positive, the same can’t be said about its performance. The review build of the game points at some severe optimization issues on PC, leading to stutters, low frame rates, and high VRAM usage. Users with 4090’s are reporting 20+ GB VRAM usage while only playing at 1440p, not even 4k. Here’s a look at what users are reporting.

EA says day one patch fixes for Star Wars Jedi Survivor PC port inbound

As the review embargo for the game lifted, poor PC port reviews started cropping up. The most notable example was a GameStar upload, showcasing a 4090 struggling to run the game at just 1440p. Stuttering and frame drop issues are aplenty in the gameplay video with frame rates dropping to the low 30s frequently. The VRAM usage on the GPU showed a worrying 20 GB occupied. Additionally, high-end cards like the 3080 cannot run the game at 4k due to VRAM constraints.

Another concerning note from the video is the poor CPU optimization. Only about 4 CPU threads were being efficiently used, leading users to believe poor optimization is the cause. In a new tweet, EA has confirmed that a lineup of fixes will ship in the weeks to come. This has led to criticism from many stating that shipping a broken game with post-launch updates to fix it is becoming the norm. A few recent examples of this practice arre Gotham Knights and The Last of Us Part 1 PC ports.

Aside from the poor performance, the game has been praised by many. With improved controls, more in-depth customization, and new features, the reviews are quite favorable. Star Wars Jedi Survivor comes out on April 28 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

As part of recent info drops, FSR support, and the system requirements have been revealed.

While the minimum requirements aren’t quite demanding, the addition of FSR will be a boon for low-spec gamers. As an AMD Partnered Game, Jedi: Survivor will support FidelityFX Super Resolution (likely FSR 2) and FreeSync Premium Pro. While having an upscaling method like FSR is great, DLSS confirmation hasn’t arrived yet. However, considering that FSR works on both Nvidia and AMD cards, fans will still be able to upscale their visuals.

Aside from the in-game optimizations, the status of being an AMD Partnered Game means that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be bundled with fresh Ryzen 7000 CPU orders from select retailers. This offer will also be limited to specific countries and won’t be available worldwide.

Jalen Brunson claims the Revenge of the Sith is the greatest Star Wars movie of all time, leading to Twitter going off on him.

Jalen Brunson and the Dallas Mavericks made it further in the Playoffs than most people thought they would in 2022. They also bested a team in 7 games that was lauded as being the favorites to come out of the West in the Phoenix Suns, before losing to the Golden State Warriors in 5 games in the Western Conference Finals.

With the Mavs having already made a stellar move prior to the end of the NBA Finals with the Christian Wood trade, seems as though Mark Cuban and company are all in on riding their WCF wave into next season.

Of course, Jalen Brunson is going to be a large part of that due to his offensive versatility and subsequent firepower. However, we aren’t here to talk about Brunson’s play on the court. Instead we will be taking a look at a tweet he put out in regards to one of the greatest movie franchises of all time.

Jalen Brunson on what is the greatest Star Wars movie of all time.

Jalen Brunson seems to be an avid Star Wars fanatic as he recently took to Twitter to ask what his fans consider to be the greatest movie in that franchise. He would later answer his own question by saying any answer that isn’t Revenge of the Sith is an incorrect answer.

While the 3rd Star Wars movie (chronologically) does have the best fight choreography, it certainly lacks the gravitas that movie like Empire Strikes Back or even A New Hope did. Order 66 and the final battle between Anakin and Obi-Wan are the only two redeeming qualities of that film with Anakin’s transformation into Darth Vader coming in at a close 3rd.

Safe to say that NBA Twitter was divided it for the most part, wasn’t rocking with this opinion of Brunson’s.
